Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

GDB Landscaping Ltd. is seeking a skilled Landscaping Supervisor to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our landscaping team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in landscaping, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, supervise, and schedule staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of landscaping tasks.
  • Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including lawn care, pruning, and planting.
  • Plan and estimate labor and materials for landscaping projects.
  • Organize and direct the construction of decks, decorative walls, and other outdoor features.
  • Manage and supervise landscape construction work, ensuring high-quality results and timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate work records and logs.
  • Tender and administer contracts for landscaping services.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in landscaping or a related field.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in a variety of weather conditions.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.

Working Conditions

The work environment will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.

Language

The primary language of work is English.

Hours of Work

The successful candidate will work 35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
