Job Description

CS Group Canada is seeking a highly skilled Software Verification Team Lead to join our dynamic and multidisciplinary team in charge of the certification of aircraft Electronic Engine Controllers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Quality Assurance: Ensure the technical quality of deliverables, reviewing and validating the team's output to meet industry standards.
  • Work Package Management: Define work packages and manage suppliers when activities are outsourced, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Software Verification Processes: Develop and implement software verification processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Team Leadership: Lead continuous improvement efforts, focusing on quality, efficiency, and on-time delivery. This includes team organization, tools, and test/review methodologies.
  • Team Motivation and Development: Instill a positive work ethic in the team, providing training and coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Client Communication: Communicate and coordinate with clients on technical subjects, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Status Updates and Workload Assessments: Provide weekly status updates and workload assessments to the Project Manager, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Team Training and Development: Identify and provide team training opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Company Development: Actively participate in the development of the company through involvement in technical and commercial proposals.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Verification & Validation of Embedded Software in a DO178B or DO178C environment.
  • Team Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a team lead, with a proven track record of team follow-up, reporting, team building and motivation, training and coaching.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of software tools such as SCADE, Matlab / Simulink, C, C++, Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN, Mantis.
  • Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity, and ability to find solutions, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual - French/English.
