About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Analyst to join our team at the Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. As a key member of our Network Operations Center, you will play a critical role in ensuring the provision of effective implementation, maintenance, and support of complex network systems throughout Interior Health.
The ideal candidate will have exceptional skillsets in networking and digital health infrastructure, with excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer service focus. You will be responsible for designing local area, wide area, telephone, and telecommunications networks, configuring and installing network devices and cabling, and maintaining network systems and software applications.
Duties and Responsibilities- Network Design and Implementation: Design local area, wide area, telephone, and telecommunications networks, configure and install network devices, cabling, and peripheral equipment.
- Network Maintenance and Support: Maintain network systems and software applications by analyzing and diagnosing network problems and implementing solutions.
- Software Management: Implement and maintain network systems software by analyzing current programs and recommending program adjustments or changes.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate network projects as required, meet with managers to review current methodologies, identify resource requirements, project milestones, and deliverables.
- Policies and Procedures: Develop policies, procedures, and documentation relating to the configuration, operating, and maintenance of local area, wide area, telephone, and telecommunications networks.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Graduation from a recognized degree or diploma program in Computer Science plus three years' recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to write programs in a variety of programming languages.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
