Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team at Arlyn Recruiting. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial leadership and support to our clients in the legal industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full cycle accounting duties, including day-to-day, month-end, and year-end reporting activities
  • Investigation and implementation of Law Society of BC rules
  • Supervision of all aspects of the legal accounting department, with demonstrated knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, collections, billing, time recording, payroll, budgeting, equipment leasing, trust accounting, and managing the group benefits plan
  • General ledger maintenance and design at the user level using Acumin accounting software

Requirements:

  • Accounting designation required
  • Minimum 5 years post-designation experience in Canada
  • Experience in legal accounting or engineering offices is considered an asset
  • A self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage a demanding workload with many deadlines
  • Highly motivated individual with high standards, strong work ethic, and integrity
  • Strong computer skills using Excel

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Accounting: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000 to $70,000
