Critical Care Nurse

North York General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit team. Job SummaryWe are looking for a Registered Nurse with 1-2 years of experience in an acute medical or surgical care unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care and be able to work effectively in a team environment. The successful candidate will be able to provide excellent patient care, work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient and family-centered care in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of care providers to assess, educate, prevent, maintain, and restore patient health
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care, including independent and interdependent nursing functions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery
- Participate in unit quality initiatives and measurement
- Current registration, in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1-2 years experience in an acute medical or surgical care unit preferred
- Current BCLS
- Current ACLS, preferred
- Completion of Critical Care Certificate, required (or completion within 6 months from hire, required)
- Experience in a critical care setting an asset
- Ability to speak another language is an asset
