Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Grand Falls Agromart Ltd. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a semi-trailer truck and transporting goods across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Cargo Management: Load and unload goods, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and operate GPS and other navigation equipment.

Requirements:

  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Documentation: Maintain a driver logbook and inspection report.
  • Communication Systems: Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
  • Transportation Experience: Local transportation experience.
  • Work Conditions: Overtime required, repetitive tasks, and sitting.
