Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the Diagnostic Scientific Centre. As a key member of our laboratory department, you will be responsible for the daily processing, testing, and analysis of diagnostic samples.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of routine and specialized procedures in the processing of specimens used in diagnosis, treatment, and research.
  • Conduct results analysis and reporting of diagnostic samples.
  • Work with exposure to chemicals and gloves, including formalin, xylene, and bleach.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology program.
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Alberta.
  • Able to work in a clinical setting with exposure to chemicals and gloves.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Anatomic Pathology experience within the past 10 years.
  • Experience with performing and assessing special stains.
  • Basic LIS and Microsoft computer skills.
