We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Elmira area. As a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN), you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of long-term and acute care facilities, providing exceptional nursing care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident plans of care.
- Utilize sound nursing practice principles to ensure excellent nursing and personal care in assigned home areas.
- Ensure timely and accessible admissions for residents, including comprehensive orientations to the home and services offered.
- Manage resident transfers and discharges in a safe and timely manner.
- Ensure the safekeeping and control of medications and narcotics, adhering to established protocols.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care to meet the physical, psychological, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and social needs of residents.
Requirements:
- Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Able to work with individuals with infectious diseases.
- BLS Certificate and valid First Aid & CPR.
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, and Varicella (MMRV), as well as Hepatitis B and a negative TB skin test within one year.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shift times, including 8- or 12-hour shifts, and be willing to 'float' between units as needed.
- Reliability in accepting and adhering to scheduled shifts.
- Compliance with RhynoCare's shift acceptance/cancellation policy.
