Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team at Strategic Construction as a Carpenter. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, renovation, and residential building projects.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position with 40-48 hours of work per week. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including dental plan, disability benefits, health care plan, paramedical services coverage, vision care benefits, group insurance benefits, and life insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials
  • Prepare tenders and quotations
  • Supervise other workers
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments
  • Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials
  • Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train for experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Transportation/Travel Information:

  • Own transportation
  • Own vehicle

Salary: $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience
