Job Summary

O'Brien Construction and Renovations is seeking a skilled tradesperson to join our team as a carpenter. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction and renovation, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
  • Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Steel-toed safety boots and hard hat
  • Excellent oral communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results. The work will involve working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty conditions.
