Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

**Job Overview**
Virtek Vision International is a leading technology company providing innovative solutions in laser and vision-based projection and inspection. We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Specialist to join our team.
**Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, including but not limited to:
- Inspecting, assembling, testing, repairing, and packaging of mechanical, optical, and electronic components, sub-assemblies, products, and systems;
- Adhering to work orders and instructions; preparing tools, fixtures, and test equipment; producing subassemblies to specification and testing measures; final assembly of product and testing;
- Testing and troubleshooting of components, assemblies, and products; inspecting and repairing components, assemblies, and products;
- Assisting in new product implementation activities, such as pilot builds and developing new work instructions;
**Administration Tasks**
The candidate will also be responsible for completing all checklists, records, and reports as required for traceability, CRM reporting, ERP reporting, quality audit checklists, and system checklists.
**Logistics Responsibilities**
The successful candidate will assist with receiving and putting away incoming materials and assisting with packaging products and systems.
**Requirements**
To be successful in this role, the candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Grade 12 minimum, with a preferred diploma in Electronics, Electromechanical, or Optics technology;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred;
- Ability to interpret assembly procedures, wiring diagrams, and drawings;
- Ability to document and record test results and report daily labor and material consumptions;
- Demonstrated ability to use tools, fixtures, and test equipment;
- Ability to lift 40 lbs occasionally to shoulder height;
- Safety conscious;
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills;
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
