Image Sensor Design Specialist

We are looking for a creative and innovative individual who has proven ability in independently solving technical problems, can learn new technical concepts readily, and is looking to grow into a technical leadership role.

Job Summary:

This role involves developing both full custom and semi-custom image sensors and cameras that are used by customers all over the world in the most demanding airborne, space, and life science applications.

  • Apply in-depth technical knowledge of semiconductor design to develop Teledyne DALSA's image sensor technology.
  • Work in a high-paced development environment with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Provide technical guidance on new projects, optimize sensor performance to meet customer requirements, and provide technical support to customers.
  • Interact with process, mechanical, electronic, and test teams to help develop and support custom image sensor and camera development & manufacturing.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Physics, Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or a related relevant field.
  • At least 5 or more years of product development experience.
  • Broad knowledge of systems engineering, semiconductor fabrication processes, microelectronic circuits, analog electronics, and optics.
  • Knowledge and experience in semiconductor device physics, understanding of CMOS image sensor technology.
  • Experience with optics and/or electronics.
  • Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and innovate in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Report writing is essential.
  • Proficiency in programming/data analysis software (Python, MATLAB, R, etc).
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Controlled Goods screening will be required.
Desirable Experience/Knowledge:
  • Experience with imaging technology.
  • Experience leading root-cause investigations in complex systems.
  • Proven experience managing a technical project & working with large multidisciplinary teams.
  • Silicon chip circuit design experience is an asset, with particular emphasis on experience with image sensor design.
