About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Pattern Maker to join our team at Laura Canada. As a Pattern Maker, you will play a crucial role in designing patterns to produce high-quality garments that meet our brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine technical designer's sketches to ensure feasibility and provide feedback when necessary.
- Design patterns that are balanced, proportional, and executable by the production team, adhering to Laura Canada standards.
- Write specification sheets and sewing guidelines for each sample, including size, number, style, and explanation of sewing requirements.
- Ensure that samples produced match the pattern and original sketch.
- Make necessary corrections to styles.
- Finalize tech-packs for imported styles by identifying relevant measuring points and providing basic measurements for the style and selected fabrics.
- Verify pre-production and TOP samples, reporting corrections to be made if needed and recording them on tech-packs.
- Ensure that required corrections from previous verifications have been made on new samples received.
- Be responsible for producing styles and delivering them to the production team within lead time.
- Respect approval ratios and achieve monthly objectives for designed patterns.
- Keep the workflow list up-to-date at all times.
Requirements
- Fashion design diploma or diploma in garment techniques.
- 5 years' experience in pattern design for ladies' apparel.
- Proficient knowledge of PAD system.
- Analytical skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive, proactive, and productive approach.
