Job Description:

Our client, a leading provider of digital power solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lab Director to lead their Automotive Electric Control Technology Laboratory. As a key member of the Digital Power Business Unit, you will be responsible for driving innovation and advancing the development of electric drive control technologies.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead Research and Development: Oversee the development of groundbreaking research in automotive electric control, driving industry-leading innovations and overcoming technological challenges.
  2. Strategic Partnerships: Foster key EU projects, collaborate with top-tier research institutions, and engage with key customers and industry partners to embed into the European research landscape.
  3. Industry Insight: Stay ahead of industry trends to formulate effective research strategies, driving advancements in vehicle dynamics, motion control, and drivetrain technologies.
  4. Team Management: Oversee and inspire local teams across multiple business modules, cultivating a high-performance, motivated work environment.
  5. Technical Expertise: Analyze and design hardware, algorithms, and architectures based on system requirements, focusing on drivetrain technology, brake systems, vehicle stability control, and advanced control algorithms.
  6. Concept Development: Lead drivetrain system proposals, function development, performance optimization, and comprehensive assessments. Guide the development and integration of brake-by-wire technologies, from concept to testing.
Requirements:
  1. Educational Background: Master's degree or higher in vehicle, mechanical, electrical/electronic engineering, automation, or related fields.
  2. Industry Experience: Extensive experience in drivetrain and brake systems, with recognized industry influence in areas like power electronics, vehicle dynamics, and braking systems.
  3. Technical Skills: Familiarity with EPS, ESC, torque vectoring, and integrated chassis control algorithms. Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, CarSim/IPG CarMaker, and Catia for modeling and simulation.
  4. Professional Influence: Strong connections within international research, standards, or academic organizations. Proven track record in drivetrain development and vehicle stability, with hands-on experience in at least two mass production products.
  5. Strategic Vision: Global perspective with strong cross-cultural communication and coordination skills. Fluent in written and spoken English, with English as the working language.
