Job Title: Facility Compliance Inspector

The estimated salary for this role in Ottawa, Ontario is approximately $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facility Compliance Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management group, you will be responsible for ensuring that our rental properties meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Conduct regular inspections of our assets to ensure they meet legislative codes and Minto standards;
  • Provide technical support and training to internal customers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively;
  • Work closely with our maintenance team to ensure that all work is completed on schedule and in accordance with contractual specifications and regulatory requirements;
  • Maintain accurate records of legislative compliance and inspection reports in our Document Management System;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment performance and efficiency;
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs for new site staff;
  • Provide expert guidance and support to onsite staff to ensure that maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently and effectively;
  • Promote safe working practices and monitor compliance with Minto Health and Safety policies;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with building systems and code compliance in commercial and residential settings;
  • Strong knowledge of Yardi/ERP systems and project management principles;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels;
  • A college diploma or university degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
