About the Role

CME is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Manager, International Trade and Skills Policy. As a key member of our government relations and policy team, you will be responsible for leading our organization's efforts on international trade, skills, and immigration policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy Development: Identify, monitor, analyze, and develop responses to federal policies related to international trade, skills, and immigration policy.
  • Government Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant government officials and their staff.
  • Advocacy: Develop and execute federal advocacy strategies on key issues.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and leverage networks of industry experts, stakeholders, and international partners to advance shared policy objectives.
  • Research and Analysis: Provide political and policy insights to support deliverables such as member briefings, memos, presentations, and communications products.
  • Membership Growth: Support the growth of CME membership and member services.
Requirements
  • Education: Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-4 years of relevant experience in government relations and advocacy, politics, policy development, communications, and related disciplines.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of government policy development processes, excellent research, writing, and communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, ability to work in a dynamic and flexible environment.
  • Registration: Meet the criteria to become a registered lobbyist of the federal government.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year.
