Kitchen Assistant Job Description

MAGS 99 FRIED CHICKEN AND MEXICAN CANTINA is seeking a reliable and physically capable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, loading and unloading dishes, and maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation, including loading and unloading dishes, utensils, and equipment.
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware.
  • Package take-out food and prepare simple food items.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift heavy objects.
  • Reliability and strong work ethic.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
