Kitchen Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Nita Lake Lodge - Hotel. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, preparing and serving food, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and serve food in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, and cleaning equipment
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and fruits, and cooking simple meals
  • Receive and store supplies, including food, cleaning products, and equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting guests and responding to their needs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
Working Conditions:

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in a hot kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be required to wear a uniform and follow all health and safety protocols.
