Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to elderly patients in a variety of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, and home care. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare practitioners during examinations and treatments
  • Monitor patients and advise physicians of any changes in patients' conditions
  • Address and document symptoms and changes in patients' conditions
  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Dispense and administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician
  • Provide nursing care to patients in a variety of settings
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certificate
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in geriatric care
