Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Food Service Worker to join our team at Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver meals to residents in a timely and efficient manner
  • Portion and serve desserts, as well as clean and sanitize cooking equipment and utensils
  • Assist with general and special cleaning in the kitchen, adhering to government and organizational policies and standards

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a recognized Food Service Worker Program or equivalent experience in the food services industry
  • Current Food Handler Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends

Working Conditions:

  • Considerable standing, walking, lifting, and bending
  • Exposure to noise, high temperatures, and moisture while working in the dish room and pot washing areas
