Job Summary:
We are seeking a Commercial Insurance Executive to join our team in Hamilton. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities and maintaining a profitable book of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new business through networking and prospecting.
- Make recommendations to clients to update and enhance their insurance policies.
- Resolve client, carrier, and/or accounting issues, including coverage questions, collections, discrepancies, billing controversies, and claims.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory procedures.
- Maintain regular contact with existing clients to deliver quality service and meet their needs.
- Respond to client and marketing team communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Review new policy wordings and documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain accurate documentation for various accounts and/or correspondence.
Requirements:
- Valid RIBO license.
- 10+ years of experience in insurance, with a minimum of 5 years in an Account Manager/Client Executive role.
- Experience broking commercial risk in Canada.
- Client-focused with proven relationship-building skills.
- Strong computer skills (proficient in PPT, Excel, Word, etc.).
