Job Summary:

Jardeg Construction is seeking a skilled Ironworker Journeyperson to join our team at a major industrial facility in Alberta. As an Ironworker, you will be responsible for erecting and installing scaffolding, construction cranes, and other hoisting equipment, as well as assembling and erecting pre-fabricated metal structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Erect and install scaffolding, construction cranes, and other hoisting equipment to facilitate construction and maintenance activities.
  • Assemble and erect pre-fabricated metal structures, including rigging and hoisting equipment.
  • Check the alignments and join steel parts by bolting or tack welding them with an electric arc process.

Requirements:

  • Journeyperson Ironworker (generalist, structural or ornamental) certification.
  • Proven experience as a Journeyperson Ironworker, preferably in industrial or construction settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ironworker materials, tools, and installation techniques.
  • Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

  • CSTS-09 or CSTS-20 certification.
  • ESC Fall Protection certification.
  • ESC Confined Space Entry & Monitor certification.
  • ESC Elevated Work Platform certification.
  • Breathing Air/RPE with Bottle Watch certification.
  • Journeyperson or Apprenticeship Card Ticket.
