Job Opportunity

Alberta Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Community Child Psychiatrist to provide consulting and follow-up services to the Community Mental Health Clinics in Camrose and Wetaskiwin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face and virtual support to patients
  • Develop and implement a scope of practice that includes inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth services
  • Support Mental Health Programs throughout Central Zone
  • Be responsible for Emergency on-call services
Requirements
  • Recent and relevant experience in all scopes of practice
  • Valid and relevant license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta or a valid Notification of Eligibility Letter from the CPSA
  • Recent experience (within the last 12 months) of independent practice as the Most Responsible Physician for a wide range of patients
  • Experience within the past 24 months being responsible for after-hours inpatient care
Preferred Qualifications
  • Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification (RCPSC)
