We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager, Indirect Tax to join our dynamic team in Oakville. As a trusted advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert indirect tax support to colleagues and clients, ensuring compliance with Goods & Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax, provincial-level sales taxes, and other relevant regulations.
  • Conduct thorough research on indirect tax issues, preparing comprehensive correspondence and client deliverables.
  • Oversight and review of indirect tax compliance for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on indirect tax matters, providing timely and effective solutions for clients.
  • Assist with tax authority examinations, audits, and voluntary disclosures related to indirect taxes, maintaining a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Manage practice matters, including billings, accounts receivable, and client onboarding procedures, ensuring seamless operational efficiency.
  • Cultivate the growth and development of junior team members, fostering a culture of mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Stay up-to-date with all legislation pertaining to indirect taxes, remaining an industry expert and thought leader.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • A CPA/CMA/CGA designation is preferred but not required.
  • You have completed the CPA GST/HST In-Depth Course.
  • You possess a minimum of eight years' experience with indirect taxes, with a strong track record of success.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in all aspects of your role.
  • You possess strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues and clients.

About the Opportunity

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and a comprehensive compensation package.
