Your Opportunity

Our Oakville Office is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Indirect Tax team and take ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Provide Indirect Tax support to colleagues and clients in relation to Goods & Services Tax/Harmonized Sales Tax, and provincial-level sales taxes in Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, carbon taxes, Luxury Tax, and Underused Housing Tax.
  • Research Indirect Tax issues and prepare correspondence and related client deliverables.
  • Oversee and review Indirect Tax compliance for clients.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on Indirect Tax matters for clients.
  • Assist with tax authority examinations, audits, and voluntary disclosures as they relate to Indirect Taxes.
  • Manage practice matters, such as billings, accounts receivable, and client onboarding procedures.
  • Assist with the coaching and development of junior team members.
  • Identify opportunities to assist colleagues and clients with Indirect Taxes.
  • Remain up to date with all legislation pertaining to Indirect Taxes.

Your Experience and Education

  • A CPA/CMA/CGA designation is preferred but not required.
  • You have completed the CPA GST/HST In-Depth Course.
  • You have a minimum of eight years' experience with indirect taxes.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  • You display strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
