We are seeking a 3rd Physician Assistant to join our LMC Vaughan clinic (1600 Steeles Ave W, Vaughan) on a permanent full-time basis. As a member of our team, you will provide medical care in the areas of endocrinology and diabetes under the supervision of an endocrinologist.

About the Opportunity
  • We offer an established team of 8 Physicians Assistants, as well as full training and support from Endocrinologists and our PA Program Lead.
  • Our PA program provides a professional development fund and education days, plus in-house learning opportunities for all team members.
  • In this role, you will provide care as a sub-investigator in clinical research studies in diabetes, fulfilling the responsibilities of Good Clinical Practice.

  • Professional development fund and education days are provided, along with opportunities to attend Endocrine specific conferences and rounds to enhance your knowledge and earn CPD credits.
  • Our current PAs are also mentors to 1st and 2nd year PA students.
  • There is a full training program for all new hires, irrespective of years of experience as a PA.
  • PAs are eligible for a competitive salary based on years of experience, as well as an Annual Performance Bonus program.
  • Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with paid days off for holidays.
About You
  • University-based accredited Physician Assistant training program (Bachelor or Master level).
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA).
  • A new graduate ready to learn and grow in the specialty of Endocrinology Practice.
Responsibilities
  • Perform complete clinical assessments of patients, including obtaining history, performing physical assessments, requesting and reviewing diagnostic testing.
  • Manage, counsel, and educate patients through the implementation and adjustment of all diabetes and other endocrine therapies and monitoring systems.
  • Act as Sub-Investigator and coordinator for research studies, conducting study patient physicals, visits, performing queries, entering data, and following all requirements under the Research Standard Operating Procedures.
