Geotechnical Team Leader Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our Ottawa-based team and support the services offered by our laboratory.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering, with a minimum of 15 years of consulting experience in Ontario. They will be a licensed Professional Engineer and have a graduate degree in Geotechnical or Geological Engineering, with experience in geotechnical design, investigation reports, and slope stability analysis software.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership for the growth and development of our Foundations group, leading geotechnical engineering design and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets. They will also act as a mentor to junior team members, promoting a positive and respectful work environment that aligns with our company values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership for the growth and development of our Foundations group.
  • Lead geotechnical engineering design and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Act as a mentor to junior team members and promote a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Assist with ensuring proper project planning and resourcing of the team.
  • Oversee the technical work of the design team and provide guidance as needed.
  • Prepare designs and recommendations, writing or reviewing geotechnical and soil investigation reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to geotechnical projects.
