About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Geotechnical Engineer to lead our Ottawa-based team and support the services offered by our laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical leadership for the growth and development of our Geotechnical team.
  • Leading geotechnical engineering design and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Actively leading and supporting a positive, respectful, and results-oriented work environment.
  • Assisting with ensuring proper project planning and resourcing of the team to ensure effective execution of projects.
  • Overseeing the technical work of and providing guidance to the design team.
  • Preparing designs and recommendations, writing, or reviewing geotechnical and soil investigation reports, specifications, and other deliverables related to various geotechnical projects and stamping such reports.
  • Liaising with clients, government, and/or regulatory bodies.
  • Working closely with the Geotechnical VP to establish good client relationships dealing with geotechnical design projects and opportunities.
  • Playing an active role in business development activities and marketing by establishing and maintaining positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Specifying site investigation and laboratory testing requirements.
  • Attending site and office meetings as necessary.
