Job Title: Truck Driver-Supervisor

North Eastern Trucking Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver-Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of drivers and ensuring the smooth operation of our trucking fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of 5-10 drivers and ensure they are meeting their performance targets.
  • Prepare and review reports on driver performance, safety, and productivity.
  • Train and develop drivers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Monitor and operate signal and track switch control panels to ensure safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities to meet customer demands and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and recommend personnel actions as necessary.
  • Coordinate repairs and rentals of equipment and supplies.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory role in the transportation industry.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Working Conditions:
  • Work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Regular travel may be required.
Language:
  • English is the primary language of communication.
Work Schedule:
  • 30 hours per week.
