Job Overview
This is a great opportunity to join our team as an HR Generalist at Fort McKay First Nation. In this role, you will provide administrative support, coordinate employee orientation and administer employee benefits programs. About the Position
This full-time permanent position is based on seventy-five (75) hours bi-weekly and is located in Fort McKay, AB. The successful candidate will have a diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field and three years of experience in HR or a related role. Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and benefits administration is essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the HR department
- Coordinate employee orientation and present company policy and applicable benefit/pension orientation
- Administer employee benefits programs
- Gather and process paperwork
- Inform employees of their first tasks
- Coordinate with IT and ensure new hires have technical assistance
- Support the administration of employee benefits programs
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries
- Address new hire inquiries regarding their contracts and payroll

Requirements
- Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Three years of experience in HR or a related role
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and benefits administration
- Computer experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and HRIS systems
- Valid class five (5) Driver's License and Clean Driver's Abstract
