Job Description

At Ontario Inc, we are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, fixed assets and depreciation, maintaining financial records and establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems. The ideal candidate will have 1 year to less than 2 years experience and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Key responsibilities include maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, preparing other statistical, financial and accounting reports, and preparing a trial balance of books. The successful candidate will also be responsible for reconciling accounts and providing accurate and efficient financial services to the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, fixed assets and depreciation
  • Maintain financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports
  • Prepare a trial balance of books
  • Reconcile accounts
Qualifications:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Accurate and reliable
  • Dependable and organized
