Senior Environmental Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Environmental Scientist to join our Remediation team in Edmonton or Calgary. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and conducting field work related to monitoring, investigating, remediating, and reclaiming contaminated sites impacted by hydrocarbons, salts, and metals.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Management: Prepare and adhere to site-specific health and safety plans to mitigate or eliminate risks to yourself, clients, employees, and the public.
- Project Coordination: Set up field work programs, prepare field work instructions, manage budgets and schedules, oversee subcontractors, and maintain project files.
- Field Work and Investigations: Conduct soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment investigations, monitoring programs, and oversee site remediation.
- Team Collaboration: Work within a project team, playing a key role in contaminant assessment and remediation projects.
- Proposal Development: Prepare proposals, including work scopes, schedules, and cost estimates for senior review.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Collect, compile, interpret, and report data for phased environmental site assessment, remediation, and site monitoring.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare technical reports for review by senior staff.
- Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in Environmental Sciences or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental consulting.
- Skills: Strong awareness of health and safety issues, safety-conscious attitude, strong interpersonal communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy of field notes.
- Additional Requirements: A valid driver's license and a positive, enthusiastic attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work with little supervision.
