About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Cellar Operator to join our team at Muskoka Brewery. As a key member of our brewing team, you will be responsible for monitoring and carrying out cellar operations to ensure the production of high-quality craft beers and spirits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform various tasks associated with making great and consistent craft beers and spirits, including maintaining a clean and tidy work area and performing thorough sanitation duties.
  • Operate cellar equipment in a safe and effective manner, and assist the brew team by collecting yeast samples and preparing dry hops and biofines.
  • Actively participate and be accountable for milling grain, lactobacillus collection and pitching, and provide input on equipment optimization throughout growth initiatives.
  • Prepare, organize, and track all materials used during the brewing process, and monitor the processes and adjust as required to meet Muskoka Brewery's high-quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting throughout processes, and be able to work in a team environment.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations environment, with a passion to learn the brewing craft.
  • Able to lift 50lbs, and available and able to work a 3-shift rotation (approximately 8 hours/work day).
  • Reliable transportation, and legally able to work in Canada.
  • Enrolled or a graduate of Brewery Operations Management is an asset.
