Muskoka Brewery is seeking a skilled Craft Beer Brewer to join our Brewing team.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various tasks associated with making great and consistent craft beers and spirits.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work area, including general cleaning responsibilities.
  • Carry out thorough sanitation duties, including cleaning and maintenance of equipment and utensils, to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Operate cellar equipment in a safe and effective manner.
  • Assist the Brew team in collecting yeast samples and brinks.
  • Prepare dry hops and biofines.
  • Actively participate in and be accountable for milling grain.
  • Collect and pitch lactobacillus.
  • Provide input on equipment optimization throughout growth initiatives.
  • Prepare, organize, and track all materials used during the brewing process.
  • Monitor processes and adjust as required to meet Muskoka Brewery's high-quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate and timely reporting throughout processes.
Requirements:
  • Ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing operations setting.
  • A passion to learn the brewing craft with 3+ years of operator experience.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Able to lift 50lbs.
  • Available and able to work a 3-shift rotation (approximately 8 hours/work day).
  • Reliable transportation (public transit is NOT available).
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
  • Enrolled or a graduate of Brewery Operations Management (an asset).
