Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Optician to join our team at LensCrafters in Waterloo, ON. As an Optical Expert, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and providing expert advice on eyewear and vision care.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and serve customers with a smile, setting expectations and ensuring their needs are met.
- Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Act as a leader in optical acumen, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies.
- Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet standards and customer needs.
- Assist team members with complex product needs and prescriptions, providing expert guidance and support.
- Accurately and thoroughly use technology, despite time pressure and customer volume, and maintain exceptional product knowledge and tool usage.
- Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities, striving for exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
- Take pride in store appearance, help maintain a clean, attractive, and organized environment, and inform management of safety opportunities.
- Resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning, improvement, and results, adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- State Licensure.
- Optical dispensing experience.
- Strong customer service skills, including communication, listening, and teamwork.
- Knowledge of current store merchandise.
- Strong basic math skills.
- Awareness of current fashion trends.
- Selling skills, including the ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet.
- Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators.
- Embracing new technology and change.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous customer service and retail experience.
