Painter Technician

Job Title: Painter Technician

We are seeking a skilled Painter Technician to join our team at Westridge Painting & Coating Ltd. As a Painter Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sanding surfaces to be painted, repairing cracks and holes, and mixing paint to the desired colour and texture.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted
• Repair cracks and holes
• Mix paint to desired colour and texture
• Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
• Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
• Erect scaffolding and swing stages and attach rigging
• Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces
• Estimate costs and materials
• Ensure a high level of attention to detail and quality in work

Work Environment:

The Painter Technician will work outdoors at heights and in confined spaces, with relocation costs covered by the employer. The work setting will be at various locations.

Requirements:

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
• Ability to distinguish between colours
• Hand-eye co-ordination
• Physically demanding
• Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) weight handling
