Cabinetmaker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker to join our team at Marjolaine Dion C.O. et RH. As a Cabinetmaker, you will be responsible for designing, building, and installing custom cabinets and furniture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build custom cabinets and furniture using various materials, such as wood, MDF, and laminate.
  • Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers, and shapers, to cut, shape, and form parts and components.
  • Prepare specifications of custom-made cabinets that maximize storage.
  • Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made.
  • Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
  • Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
Requirements:
  • Cabinetmaker Trade Certification.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Accurate.
  • Organized.
  • Punctuality.
