Procurement Quality Assurance Representative / Quality Lead Auditor

Your role within the team:

To succeed in this role, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and updating supplier audit programs to reflect changes in the schedule.
  • Obtaining a unique audit file number.
  • Preparing audit plans and conducting opening and closing meetings.
  • Reporting any conditions requiring prompt corrective action to management.
  • Preparing and issuing audit reports.
  • Populating audit checklists and raising supplier corrective action requests.
  • Evaluating auditee responses and taking follow-up action.
  • Updating the approved suppliers list and filing audit records.
  • Performing surveillance of suppliers at their facilities.
  • Reviewing procurement documentation to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Preparing quality surveillance plans and reviewing supplier documents.
  • Verifying and witnessing inspections and tests.
  • Liaising with engineering representatives on quality-related issues.
  • Reporting and escalating quality-related issues to QA Manager and Procurement.

The ideal candidate:

  • University bachelor's degree in engineering, with experience in the nuclear field.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years practical working experience in a relevant nuclear field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of procedures, processes, equipment, and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of CSA N 285.0, CSA N299 and CSA N286-12 and ASME codes.
  • Good understanding of relevant CANDU systems, and retube technology.
  • Good knowledge to write procedures and review documents on a technical level.
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills and effectiveness in interpersonal relationships.
  • Basic computing skills and functionality with standard Microsoft Office programs.
