About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior IATF Lead Auditor to join our team at SGS. As a Senior Lead Auditor, you will be responsible for performing third-party audits in Canada and the US, as well as technical information review per SGS Certification procedures and the requirements of ISO.

Responsibilities

  • You will collect and analyze sufficient information to provide a recommendation for certification.
  • You will have authority for the control and performance of auditing activities, including planning and the control of other members of audit teams.
  • You will assimilate, understand, and operate the SGS Certification Management System in all activities relating to the post, and liaise with Product Managers and Accreditation Manager regarding any changes to its design and implementation.
  • You will perform audits in any capacity in conformance with SGS Global/Local procedures, sector-specific schemes, and IATF 16949.
  • You will lead audits successfully and collaborate with teams of Auditors during auditing activities.
  • You will support Sales and/or Client Services teams with technical input when needed and support growing the accounts.
  • You will control teams of auditors during assessment activities, decide upon evidence gained during audits whether or not registration should be recommended or allowed to continue, and participate in witness audits by SGS or accreditation bodies.
  • You will maintain all audit-related credentials, adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • You must have a minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering in an automotive or relevant discipline.
  • You must have 15+ years of work experience.
  • You must be a qualified Lead Auditor accredited scheme against ISO/TS 16949 and preferably ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • You must have current Lead Auditor Certifications as required and have satisfactorily completed an approved IATF 16949 Auditor/Lead Auditor course.
  • You must have a competent working knowledge of recognized quality, security, service management, and business continuity related ISO standards.
  • You must have experience in the automotive sector and the ability to travel, hold a valid passport, and driver's license.
  • You must possess integrity, tact, and character, and high professional standards.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
