The Opportunity

Zurich Canada is seeking an experienced Senior Reserving Actuary to join its Finance Actuarial team.

As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading reserving studies, performing monthly close, and establishing partnerships with business leadership on reserving matters.

You will report directly to the Chief Actuary and have the opportunity to build your knowledge and experience in a supportive environment.

This is a hybrid work opportunity that offers a great balance between work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead reserving studies and perform monthly close
  • Establish partnerships with business leadership on reserving matters
  • Provide insights into risks, underlying performance, and implications for the business

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 8 or more years of experience in the Actuarial area, plus FCAS or equivalent international certification
  • Strong analytical and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multiple functional areas (pricing, reserving, capital management)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
