Job Summary:
The Department Supervisor is a key leadership role at Home Depot of Canada Inc. that requires a strong leader to inspire and motivate associates to provide exceptional customer service and achieve top line sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire associates to build relationships with customers, associates, and peers to provide exceptional customer service and achieve top line sales with strong merchandising and product knowledge.
- Ensure department staffing levels meet business needs and manage associate performance through development, communication, rewards, and recognition, and provide ongoing feedback.
- Review sales and other reports and work with the assistant manager to make recommendations for improvement on inventory, overhead organization, and cross-merchandising to drive sales.
- Maintain 100% in-stock and overhead organizational plans and investigate, resolve, and escalate customer issues as appropriate.
- Communicate store sales, event, and promotional activities through rallies and weekly department meetings and ensure that all Safety and Asset Protection standards and protocols are clearly communicated and followed.
Requirements:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Excellent decision-making ability and problem-solving skills.
- 1-2 years of experience as a supervisor or leading teams.
