Maintenance Manager

About the Role
Aurora Cannabis is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Establish maintenance schedules, protocols, and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with production teams to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain a strategic capital investment plan to support the long-term growth and sustainability of the organization.
- Evaluate capital expenditure proposals, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and make recommendations to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to secure funding, procure equipment and consumables, manage on-site trades and vendor relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in maintenance and engineering roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance programs, executing engineering projects, and leading capital investment initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with experience in project planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and best practices in maintenance and engineering.
