Job Title: Digital Art Director

Evolving Web is a leading digital agency based in Montreal, specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale institutional websites. Our clients include organizations in higher education, government, and healthcare sectors across Canada and the United States.

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Digital Art Director to join our team. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for leading the design direction of our projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving creative solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute creative concepts and design directions for large-scale projects
  • Collaborate with creative, strategic, and technical teams to generate clear ideas and concepts
  • Visualize ideas and develop visual design directions for our clients and internal projects
  • Elevate digital design and tell evocative brand stories that create emotional connections with users
  • Supervise other team members and crave feedback yourself
  • Develop Evolving Web's creative approach
  • Understand marketing initiatives, strategic positioning, and the target audience
Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in digital art direction, including experience in a senior position
  • Demonstrable creative direction and strategic thinking
  • Compelling interactive and conceptual design, with an emphasis on quality user-centred web and digital products
  • Solid understanding of interaction design principles and usability practices;
  • Experience in designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch, and inVision
  • Experience in mentoring associate-level designers
  • Experience in interacting with clients
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and current web design trends
  • Have an eye for detail, be highly organized, self-motivated with the ability to take ownership in areas of responsibility
  • Strong communication skills in English
