Electromechanical Specialist

At Olymel S.E.C., we are seeking an Electromechanical Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Cornwall, Ontario.

Salary: $31.25 per hour

We are looking for a highly skilled electromechanical technician to work under the Maintenance Supervisor as part of a team responsible for optimizing machinery output. The successful candidate will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial equipment, including engines, pumps, compressors, automated systems, electrical controls, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.

The ideal candidate will have 7 months to less than one year of experience in a similar role and hold a high school diploma and vocational training or program. An apprenticeship program of four years or more and relevant industrial experience are also preferred.

• Repair, install, assemble, maintain, and test industrial equipment.
• Locate, determine, and diagnose malfunctions in the plant and perform repairs.
• Plan work ahead to increase efficiency in doing repairs.
• Report any specific findings, known problems, or delays to the supervisor.

• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of HACCP/SQF standards is an asset.
• Knowledgeable of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Relevant manufacturing experience in a unionized environment.
• Computer Literacy.
