About the Job:

Olymel is seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team in Cornwall, Ontario. As an Electromechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in optimizing machinery output by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair, install, assemble, maintain, and test industrial equipment, including industrial engines, pumps, compressors, automated systems, electrical controls, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in the plant and perform repairs efficiently.
  • Plan work ahead to increase efficiency in doing repairs.
  • Report any specific findings, known problems, or delays to the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 months to less than one year of experience in electromechanics or a related field.
  • A high school diploma and vocational training or program are usually required.
  • An apprenticeship program of four years or more is preferred.
  • Successfully complete internal testing.
  • Relevant industrial experience, particularly in troubleshooting and repair, is essential.
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of HACCP/SQF standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is an asset.
  • Computer literacy is necessary for this role.
