Job Summary

The Security and Emergency Program Advisor is a key role within BC Housing, responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure the safety and security of staff, housing developments, and tenants. This position requires a strong understanding of risk management, emergency preparedness, and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement safety and security programs, procedures, and policies
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat evaluations to identify potential security risks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement business continuity plans
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on safety and security protocols
  • Investigate incidents and develop recommendations for improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as risk management, criminology, or emergency management
  • Considerable experience in risk management, emergency preparedness, or business continuity
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid BC Driver's Licence
