Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Haulage Driver to join our team at Blue Rock Transport. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards of safety.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in long-haul truck driving, with a strong understanding of route planning, navigation systems, and vehicle maintenance. You will be required to operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

You will also be responsible for performing brake adjustments, pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all aspects of the vehicle. Additionally, you will need to receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.

Your expertise in tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo is essential. A Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks) is mandatory, and experience in dry bulk, flatbed, and tractor-trailer B train transportation is desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport goods and materials across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high standards of safety.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments, pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements
  • Class 1/1F/A License (semi-trailer trucks).
  • Extensive experience in long-haul truck driving.
  • Strong understanding of route planning, navigation systems, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth. The estimated salary range is based on industry standards and location.
