French Teacher Opportunity at Lakeside School Kelowna

Lakeside School Kelowna is seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time French teacher to join our team in a Grade 1 to 6 setting. Our school values a collaborative and supportive environment where educators can grow and thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French language and culture to students in a Grade 1 to 6 setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and classroom activities
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum
  • Attend faculty meetings and participate in school-wide initiatives
  • Facilitate parent-teacher conferences and communicate with parents
  • Substitute teach in other classrooms as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BC Teaching Certificate with the Teacher Regulation Branch
  • Training in Waldorf Education or commitment to enroll in Waldorf teacher training
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Current First-Aid Certificate
  • Three written references
  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency status
