We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Supported Living Service Worker to join our team at Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to children and youth in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Care and Supervision: Work collaboratively with other staff members to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children and youth, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs and goals of each child or youth.
- Provide Programming and Guidance: Design and deliver engaging programs and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as life skills and independence.
- Build Relationships and Communicate Effectively: Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, youth, and families, communicating effectively and respectfully to ensure their needs are met.
- Collaborate with the Care Team: Work closely with other staff members, including child and youth care workers, therapists, and medical professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Education and Training: Completion of a two or more year diploma course from a community college in a field related to child and youth care, such as child and youth work or a related field.
- Experience: Up to three months of related experience working with children and youth, preferably in a care or support role.
- Certifications and Skills: Current First Aid, CPR, and CPI certification, as well as computer and keyboarding skills, and extensive use of word-processing programs.
- Personal Qualities: Tact, discretion, and the ability to communicate effectively with children, youth, and families, as well as the ability to work collaboratively as part of a care team.
