Academic Professor Position in Ancient Greek Literature

About the Opportunity:
The Department of Classics at the University of Toronto invites applications for two full-time tenure stream positions in the general area of Ancient Greek Literature. We are seeking candidates with a demonstrated record of excellence in research and teaching.
About You:
Candidates must have earned a PhD degree in Classics or a related area by the time of appointment. They should have a program of rigorous and innovative research at the highest international level, backed by a track record commensurate with their career stage.
About Your Teaching Experience:
Applicants should have experience successfully teaching translation-based courses in ancient Greek literature, and language courses in ancient Greek. They should also have expertise in at least one other ancient language.
About Your Research Skills:
Evidence of excellence in research may be demonstrated by a record of refereed publications, conference presentations, grants and awards commensurate with career stage, and a research statement showing ambition and innovation.
